3 Soul Warming Recipes to Try this Winter.

1.    Classic Gajar ka Halwa

Ingredients:

-       Carrots

-       Full Cream Milk

-       Sugar

-       Ghee

-       Cardamom

-       Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios, Raisins

How to Make:

1.     Heat Sumeet Non-Stick Kadai and add grated carrots. Cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes.

2.     Pour in the milk and let it simmer without lid. Stir it occasionally, cooking it slowly is what gives the halwa its rich flavour.

3.     Once the milk reduces and thickens completely, add ghee. The mixture will turn glossy and aromatic.

4.     Add sugar and cook until the halwa reaches your desired consistency.

5.     Mix in cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits.

6.     Serve hot, ideally straight out of your Sumeet Kadai for that perfect touch.

2.    Sarson ka Saag

Ingredients:

-       Mustard Leaves

-       Spinach

-       Onion

-       Tomatoes

-       Ginger

-       Garlic

-       Makki Aata

-       Green Chillies

-       Salt & Red Chilli

How to Make:  

1.     In a Sumeet Stainless Steel Handcrafted Handi add all the greens with water. Cover and cook on low flame for 25-30 minutes until soft.

2.     Blend the blanched leaves lightly with a hand blender or a masher, keep it slightly coarse for authenticity.

3.     In a Sumeet Fry Pan, heat ghee and sauté onions, garlic and green chillies.

4.     Add tomatoes and cook till mushy.

5.     Mix the tadka into greens and cook on low flame for 15 minutes.

6.     Add makki atta to thicken, stir well and let it simmer.

 

3.    Aloo Gobhi Sabzi

Ingredients –

-       Cauliflower

-       Potatoes

-       Oinion

-       Tomato

-       Turmeric

-       Cumin Seeds

-       Coriander Powder

-       Garam Masala

-       Oil

-       Salt

 

How to Make -

1.     Heat oil in Sumeet Carbon Steel Deep Kadai

2.     Add Cumin Seeds until aromatic.

3.     Add potatoes and cauliflower along with turmeric and salt.

4.     Cover and cook on low flame, stir occasionally.

5.     Add tomatoes and coriander powder.

6.     Cook until veggies are soft not mushy

7.     Top with garam masala.
