2 Eggs
-
½ cup soft butter
-
½ cup milk
-
A pinch of salt
-
2 tbsp vanilla essence
-
1 tbsp baking soda
-
1 cup sugar
-
1 cup plain flour (maida)
-
5 cup crystal salt/sand for the base
Recipe –
-
Mix soft butter and sugar together and whisk it well until it is fluffy.
-
Add eggs and mix well.
-
Sift together a pinch of salt, maida and baking soda and ensure that there are no lumps.
-
Gradually add this mixture to the egg mixture, alternating with milk. Using a spatula, fold this mixture gently until the batter is smooth. Avoid over-beating.
-
Once the mixture is ready, add vanilla essence to it and mix it well.
-
Take Sumeet Stainless Steel Deep Stackable Container and grease it using some oil.
-
Pour the prepared mixture into this container and place the container in the pressure cooker. Make sure that you place the container over a small stand to keep it slightly lifted from the base.
-
Close the lid on the cooker and let the cake bake on low flame for 50-60 minutes. Make sure that you remove the gasket and vent weight (whistle) from the cooker beforehand.
-
To check if the cake is ready, insert a knife in it and pull it out gently. If the cake is not sticking to the blade of the knife, then it is perfectly baked.
-
Let the cake cool down and serve it on a plate.
