Every Year, on November 19th, International Men’s Day is celebrated world-wide, to honour the achievements, contributions, and the resilience of men across the globe. While almost every one acknowledges how important it is to talk about mental health, gender equality, and the struggles that men face in various societies, there is another aspect of masculinity that is sometimes overlooked, the role of men in the kitchen
Sumeet Cookware not only recognizes but appreciate them as well, we ask you to not just celebrate the strength and courage of men, but also their nurturing side, the part of them that blends tradition and innovation with every meal they create.
A Changing Narrative
In many traditional cultures, cooking has been perceived as a task primarily for women, while men are relegated to roles such as occasional helpers or spectators. Now the time is changing, as gender norms have evolved and society has become more inclusive, we are witnessing a rise in men taking an active role in the kitchen. From fathers preparing meals for their children to chefs defining the new cuisines, men are proving that cooking is an art, not a gendered activity.
International Men’s Day provides an opportunity to recognize this shift. It is not just about the external success men achieve in their careers, communities, or physical well-being. It is also about the domestic realm, the moments when men step into their homes and create something meaningful, whether it is a heaty curry, a quick snack, or a perfectly cooked dosa.
As an old saying says “The way to a man’s heart is through the stomach” we have got 3 recipes that just a bite of any recipe will be more than enough to show them how much you appreciated as you will cook it with an addition of your love.
